Took camshafts off, how properly set them again?
So this is my first time checking my valve clearances and I have run into a major problem. When I took off the intake shaft I forgot to mark with a white pen where the cam sprocket meet the chain.
It is a huge pain to even get the camshaft to sit properly back on its guides, let alone make the little IN_ line up with the top of the valve cover. Is there any trick or something Im missing?

A few years ago I did this project as well. Take a look here to see if this may be helpful.

Once the cam shafts are torqued down, they can be rotated into the proper position for putting on the chain and sprockets.

Thanks dirt. So basically what I got from that is that I should place the camshafts where they go with the shaft holders BUT dont put the sprockets on until the very end? I guess this is just going to be a pain in the ***, even with the cct released I have hardly enough slack in the chain
