can you run an inlet cam on the outlet?

can you just swap the cam sprockets over (running to inlet sprockets)

i have a spare set of cams as was told an inlet on the outlet gave a decent setup for racing now been told to just put an inlet sprocket on the outlet.

world of myths and different advice from different proffessional tuners help me?? please?

its a race bike btw with a fully polished and ported head will be going on with the new cam setup

 

without definitive proof, i would pass on the idea unless you can figure out the grinds. i would call a company like WEB. they know whats up and can help you over the phone

 

ended up asking a tuner which i bought a head off who gave me a definitive answer.

for any who may be interested you take your inlet cam and install the exhaust cam sprocket and align them in a certain way. i may do a thread on it if anybody wants to know how its done?
