Tired of cleaning my rear rim after oiling the chain!!
Here's the deal. I have white rims on my 900rr, which I really like. The problem is when I periodically lube tha chain I get a lot of sling off lube that gets on the rim. I've had to clean my rims three days in a row and I'm getting sick of it.
So I'm looking for a product or technique for applying chain lube to reduce or eliminate sling off.
So far I have used Golden Spectro chain lube, and PJ1 Black Label chain lube. Followed the directions. Applying the lube to the inside of the chain for 2 full revolutions then wiping off the excess.
Both lubes produce similar results, though the PJ1 produces a darker colores sling off than the Golden Spectro.
I still think that too much lube is remaining on the chain even after wiping off the excess.
What are your thoughts?
