Default Cleaning your chain

The manual says to clean it with a non flammable or high flash point solvent. What are you guys using when scrubbing your chain?

Had a buddy that would clean it up with wd-40, then spray it down with chain lube. All while it was warm. It was a stretched busa with nitrous, and he races almost every weekend. Chain lasted over 20,000 miles.

I have used kerosene to clean it while the chain is warm.Let it sit a little and wipe it off before adding chain lube.

i use this stuff called citra-safe..

CITRA-SAFEŽ
Developed for use in the aerospace industry, CITRA-SAFEŽ is a low-volatility substitute for Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK), 1,1,1 Trichloroethane, Toluene and blends of MEK and Toluene. CITRA-SAFEŽ is made especially for surface preparation, general solvent cleaning, and cleaning prior to sealing. It is literally a biodegradable solvent replacement for mineral spirits, thinners, and chlorinated solvents. The use of CITRA-SAFEŽ reduces risks of hazardous chemical spills, eliminates most hazardous waste disposal costs, and eliminates the health hazards associated with traditional solvents

it really cleans off the chain great.
i even mix a tiny bit in bucket when i wash my bike. it takes the bugs off and stuck on debri.....the only suck thing is i have to wax my bike a little more often... but thats ok. it isnt like waxing alot of area or anything.
and its safe for the o-rings.. the funny part is my bike then smells like oranges :-)
