4700 is pretty good mileage for sportbike tires. Itthe tire isout of balance, or if anything in the front end is loose, or if you ride wheelies a lotit will feather the tire, and once it starts to feather it gets progressively worse. Even if you find something else causing it, you should still get new tires.

Run your tires at the max pressure that's on the sidewall of the tires - for better wear and mileage.

Why are you whispering?[8D]

What do you mean "high on the front side and low on the back side"? Does that mean when you spin the tire halfway around that it's 'low on the front and high in the back'? Post a pic.

i think you're referring to 'cupping'...where it's just all bulbous looking, very out of round, like long time ago in the robotech cartoon when the centurion ships got blasted by a cannon and got all bubbly before it blew up.

it's natural at the end of the tire's life, which 4700 is about right. if it happens around 2k or less then you have alignment/suspension issues.

I'm watching a DVD where he talks about suspension problems causing excessive tire wear and how to diagnose. Sorry, I'm not so studied up on it yet.
