Default Tire Temps

Does anyone know the average temperature of motorcycle tires when they are "up to temp"? I did an internet search and found nothing. I am looking for information of tire temperatures on the track and normal road riding conditions of anyone as them. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

u put lower psi for track and higher for street.
cold psi
usually 30-31 track
32-34 or higher for street

higher = longer to heat but more tire life

A very good question, hard one to answer though how do you measure it? Even a thermometer on the tyre surface wouldn`t give an accurate result. Got me stumped.

Ive had a race tire hot enough to burn the heck out of my hand. I know its hot enough to melt rubber or peoples tires wouldnt grease up and get slick when you run to low of pressure

Thanks but I am looking for specific numbers for an idea I have. Looks like my idea might have a market.

I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to get, but you might try these people and see if they can help you out.

That is exactly what I was looking for. I had the more complex idea of aiming fix mounted infrared sensors at each tire and have the reading come up on a digital gauge so the rider will know when the bikes tires are up to temps. It seems likes a lot of people go down because they start to ride to aggressively before the tires are fully warmed up. I thought it would be cool to know when, with out a doubt, the tires are warmed up.

If someone buys the Smart Tire system let us all know how it works out for you.

Here is a riders review of the system. Plenty of info out there from long distance riders, such as Goldwing, BMW tourers, etc.
