Default Tire Help

Ok, so i am looking for new tires....OEM sizes for my bike are

F: 110/90/17
R: 130/90/17

I know i need to keep the sidewall the same size...i am looking at getting the Pirelli Sport Demons.

Would there be any difference if i went with:

F: 110/70/17
R: 140/70/17

I was going to get the R: 140/80/17 but they dont make a 110/80/17, only with a 70.

Look into te Dunlop GT501's. The are designed for non-radial sportbikes. They come in a variety of sizes. The closest I could come to your stock sizes was the 110/80-17 front and the 140/80-17 rear. Bridgestone BT45 and the Maxxis V-1 M6002 also carry those tires sizes for alittle less many. I definately wouldn't go from a 90mm sidewall to a 70mm. Thats a huge jump and could really effect the way the bike handles in a negative way. Hope This helps you out.

it does, that is not what i wanted to hear, but what i needed to hear. i looked at the gt501s but they are expensive. the sport demons would only run me $200 as opposed to the dunlops at $250. i dont even want to pay anything....LOL. i am already broke as is.
