Default Temperature problem 600rr 04

First Hii to all forum members, this is my first post on this forum. I hope you will be able to help me. Otherwise i`m from Slovenia and i had already 3 600rr 04.

This is the first time i have a problem with cbr 600 rr 2004. The bike is not showing any temperature its just two blank lines all the time, like there is no temperature. I already changed the sensor on the thermostat, but still the same, i was wondering is there any other sensor that is connected to the motorbike meter(i dont know the right word, the meter, where are mp/h, revs, clock, temperature,...). I`m stuck, and i would really aprecciate any help i can get.

I would be greatfull if you could at least tell me witch temperature sensor is connected to the motorbike meter ?

Thanks in advance
David

The specific gauge for temperature is call a temperature (temp) gauge and the whole "motorbike meter" is usually called a gauge cluster.

There is only one temp sensor.

On the older carburetor bikes, the temp sensor was a two wire version (signal and ground) and it directly connected to the gauge cluster to feed the temp sensor.

On the newer fuel injected bikes, it changed they added a third three wire (signal, signal, ground) to feed the ECU a temp signal for fueling calculations. There is still the signal wiring feeding directly to the gauge.

Either way, because there is a signal wire connecting directly from the temp sensor to the gauges, if the temp sensor is good, then that would tend to indicate a bad temp gauge.
