Default CBR 600RR temperature

What's the max temp my bike should get to while running. It got up to 250 today and seems a little hot.

That is high enough, I think you may be close to overheating. Where are you from? You must be riding on a stop and go traffic.. When I ride on the street, my fan usually kicks in around 220 then the temp will slowly go down.

Jacksonville...I rode it again today and my fan kicks on at around 220-225 so I think I'm good. I need a corbin seat or something with better insulation. Thanks for the response.

254 = Critical Operating Temperature. That's when things start flashing warnings at you.

I also live in Florida, and have heating issues. But it's never gotten to 250.

air in the coolant lines is probably your problem or thermostat is bad

wow 250 is getting to critical temps, sounds like the two options are to make sure your fan is kicking on at 220 or try flushing the coolant

I've never had mine no where near 250, but guys I know who do track days use water-weter to help keep their engine temp down. I'm in NC and it makes a difference. I'm not saying that's your only problem, cause it seems like you might have another, but I think that might help a bit.

Default temps

thermostats open around 195 the fan kicks on at 220 and the run straight water on the track cuz its eraser to clean up when a big bike to small bit resembling a big bike and a mess of fluids. sure i would check the fluid levals but would not worry till the first warnning light comes on then its time to look in to thermostats issues with the oil cooler and other things of that nature.

you could try swapping your coolant to engine ice

if your bike goes above 235 or so you should begin to worry
