awesome, I got my manual from y'all too My F4i one actually lists the temp it should operate at for the fan to kick on . . . . 228. It's listed under the coolant section I believe

if you want your bike to run cooler get Royal Purple Max-cycle oil
it will drop your level 5-15F, its a great oil (but not the best aka mobil / amsoil protects better)

Good to know... 228 would have worried me. I looked up the info for the 929 for him before I posted it. I downloaded all the manuals I could find and saved them on my server for such questions.

228 isn't something to worry about, not until it his high 230s and 240s should you be worried.
some bikes just run real hot but are still ok.

2006 F4i - 218 degrees indicated the fan comes on for me. I have seen 224 on the dash. Your results may differ, Happy New Year.
