There is something to think about when dealing with engine temperature. The fan is not controled by the Thermostat. It's not controlled by the Thermosensor either. It's controlled by a Thermo-Switch. You could unplug your Thermosensor so you don't have a reading on your gauge cluster and the fan would still turn on at the right temperature. If you're having reading problems, then either Thermostat or Thermosensor. If the fan doesn't turn on at the the proper temperature, then your talking Thermo-Switch.

The new thermostat is installed.It now runs at an indicated 75c.We hit it with an IR temp gun and the diplay is reading 7 degrees low.The fan now kicks on at 106 on the gauge.Dirty connection at the switch.Cleaned tightened and greased.All is good.Thanks for the advise
