Symptoms of out of sync carbs?
#1
#2
irratice idle
an idle that is slow to return, such as when you rev it, instead of dropping right back down to idle, it slowly gets back to idle rpms,
sluggish on the low end, boggy, or stumbles on the low end.
Normally, out of sync carbs run fine at the upper throttle inputs, but show signs lower in the rpms.
But also, dirty or out of adjusted pilot jets can cause some of the same issues.

Also, when you rev it from idle (bike sitting still) it'll have a dead stumble before catching up and revving normally. Like squid said, it acts very much like having 1 or more pilots clogged up (except with out of sync carbs, you normally don't have a dead cylinder while idling..it will idle fine).
