Default Swingarm stand

which one of the swingarm stands are better and will last longer?? is the one that holds it up underneath the swingarm, or the one that holds it up by 2 extenders that are added to the swingarm??

Its a matter of individual preference & opinion.

Knowing you have an F4 w/o spools, you'll need a stand that has the pads to lift underneath the rear of the swingarm. Personally, I use Pitbull stands. The one I use for my F4 is this one... Pit Bull Motorcycle Stands & Accessories: SS Rear Stand (Standard/Spooled) . This stand has capability for both standard & spooled...so if you later decide to install spool mounts & spools, you simply flip over the support bracket. You asked for "better & last longer" options. IMO, Pitbull is the best option. Its pricey but I guarantee that you won't have to ever buy another stand if you get the Pitbull.

Pitbull offers the spool mount inserts which will allow you to install spools. However, you'll have to install them yourself or have them installed. There is drilling required in swingarm to accomplish this. Measure twice & drill once. ;-)

Give Pitbull a call & ask them about it. They've been very helpful w/ customer service in my experience.

Here's one recent thread in the F4 section on spool installation on the F4...

That's because he lives in his mom's basement and is always on-line. He's never actually owned a bike, but he's read a lot of magazines and seen all of the videos.

Ha! Good one Ern! Actually, I grew up riding dirt & racing motocross & transitioned to street riding as I got of licensing age. A lot of the knowledge I have is due to hard-knocks & necessity of doing it myself. There's some common-sense in there too. Currently, I've got three bikes in my own garage. All of which, I do most of the work on myself.
