Default Swingarm Licence Plate Lighting??

Ok guys this might be a dumb question,, but how do I light up the licence plate when i install a swingarm bracket??? I saw they make led plate bolts, but i dont really want to run wires up my swingarm, thats gonna look real tacky. But if its my only option i will..
Suggestions much appreciated!!

That is probably your only real option. One thing to consider though. Led's take a extremely small amount of power to light up. You may be able to mount a small battery and small switch at the base of the plate and just turn it on at night.

But ideally, you would want it to come on with the lights. But remember you can run those wires on the bottom side of the swing arm so they are out of sight. With such a low draw, you can use really thin wire. I don't know if your swing arm is chrome, aluminum or just painted, but you can also buy some small diameter stainless tube and run the wires inside so it doesn't look as bad.

Buy some really small wiring loom and put the wires in that use heat shrink tubing on the ends for a nice clean look. Then get some stick on cable clips from a electronics/office supply store and use those to run it discretely on the swing arm.
The trick is make it look like you MEANT to do it, not just slapped it on.

Good luck, Ern
