i bought a new petcock and I was wondering if I needed something on the threads to seal it better. Because it still leaks sorta. More of a sweat. I don't really get a drop but I get enough to make it wet. I was thinking yellow Teflon tape or something.... Please give me your thoughts.

 

I put some Teflon tape on mine when I replaced it. Mainly outta habit. Doesn't seem to hurt it any. I was more worried about the threads on the tank mashing the threads on the petcock
