Default strange delay on side indicators

When I first crank up my CBR 929 from cold, there is a delay of about 30 seconds from when I activate the turn signal switch and the lights starting to flash.
After about 5 minutes engine running the lights flash straight away, as normal.
This is weird. Is there a capacitor in the circuit that needs to get up to charge ?
Or just a dud relay maybe ?
The battery is new, full charge, all other electrics ok.

I would check all of your connections within the circuit. Also check to see if it affects anything else. Such as the horn or brake light. But it sounds like a potential lazy flasher relay. It could just be you need to remove it and clean the conections. Put some dielectric grease on all connections.
