Stock Exhaust Mod
Ok. I have read a couple things on this be am still a little confused. Right now I dont have $300+ to spend on a slipon right now so I was looking at this. I have heard quite a few good things about this. I am wondering if someone can clearify this for me. Do you drill holes for the outside/underneath by the weld coming up from the headers. Or, do you punch a hole in the metal piece that you can see looking into the end of the pipe. (looks like this (/) ... oval piece with a bubble slash through it. I was just wondering if someone could help me out.
P.S. This will probably void the warranty right? Do slipon void it? Thanks !!!

My last bike was a 750 Gixxer and I too didn't have the money to fork over for a new slip-on at the time. One of my friends talked me into pulling off the stock can and drillings holes in the baffles with the biggest drill bit I could find. I figured that by the time we were done, I was going to be on the net buying a new slip-on with his money, but I was actually pretty impressed with how it sounded. Might have just been the sound of all those metal shavings rattling around in there, but dammit I liked it [sm=smiley20.gif]
