Default Stator and oil

I cracked my stator cover do i REALLY need to change the oil i really dont think there is any metal in the oil

uhh just one line goin about half way down to the botom i have looked at the cover and dont see any metal pieces

well, any metal fragments will get caught by the oil filter providing they don't damage your oil pump. if you feel good about not having metal chucks in there, you can do whatever the hell you want. i'd be 50/50.

I'm sure you cracked the cover by impact with the ground. What's down there? DIRT!

Oil is cheaper than an engine.

If it is cracked, dont you need to replace it? You need to change your oil to do that.

Just change the oil, It's a cheap insurance.
