I have a 00 929rr, and I am trying to replace the stator cover. I got the stator cover off and saw the alternator and the stator. Is there a way to get the stator out of the stator cover, because it is like built into it. Will I have to get a new stator?

 

ok first of all its called stator, not alternator. so you are trying to get the stator off the stator cover right? if so if you look carefully theres like 4 hex screws on the stator, unscrew those and the one thats holding the cables from the stator off and it will be free.

yeah its bolted in there, i recommend eirther ricks stator or GDI i think it is out of Florida, their stators are direct plug and play no splicing of wires.
