its not charging......when the bike is running its the charging system running the bike not the battery...honda charging systems suck.....always have....use Chainstretchers advice ....go to regulatorsrectifiers.com and order the stator and regulator units for your bike and the problem will go away...plus your bike will immediately start running better. i was having the exact same issues with my 07 liter bike...still under warrenty ..the dealer ended up changing the stator twice..and still it wasn't running right...i got the items from this plce installed them and immediately the bike started running different...WaYYYYY BETTER

be very carefull having an auto place test a motorcycle battery..those testers are designed for car truck and RV batteries...they are very harsh on a motorcycle battery.....

Well, Thanks to Pssnby, I have a stator on the way. Hopefully it will work, I'll give you guys an update the day it comes in.

I took out my stator today and the clip that plugs in in front of the battery was fried!!! There was a little damage to the male plug but I got all the black stuff out so I hope it will be fine. Is there anything special I need to do when I put it back together? Any torque specs?
