Default Starting Problem

I have a 98 CBR600 which will not start. Bike had been running fine until recently I had occasional starting problems. Sometimes the bike would start right up and other time it just made a clicking sound, so I would rock the bike in gear and then it would start. Just the other day the bike did not want to start at all and kept trying several times. I bought a new battery but the bike still does not start. All electrical powers up and when I press the starter button the bike sounds like it wants to start (turns ver very slowly) and sometimes doenst turn and just makes clicking sounds. Could it be a bad starter? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Yup, sounds like the starter is shot. But the engine could be hydrolocked, I doubt it but its a possibility. And it doesnt cost anything to fix. Pull the plugs and try starting it without the plugs in it. If there's any fluid built up in the head it will blow out the spark plug holes. I'm pretty sure its the starter though.
