Sputters taking off at the line. R/R?
So I've read so many reviews about updating the Regulator/Rectifier and I just can't see it! My bike (cbr600f2) runs great but the only hesitation is taking off (like at the lights). It needs to be revved to about 2000rpm before I can release the clutch or it just jumps and sputters. If it's just idling and I try to 'blip' the throttle it nearly stalls. Would the updated R/R really solve this? Sure, I'll admit, this bike was pretty heavily modified by the owner before me (pointless vfr swing arm, 2 bros. slip on, high flow air filter, useless gsxr front end) so it's entirely possible the jetting is off a bit but the reg/rect posts sound awfully similar to my situation. I should also mention that after that initial take-off the bike is perfect, no dead spots at all. Thoughts?

You said it yourself, Jetting is off. R/R will make the battery go dead, has nothing to do with normal riding (other then dead battery) if you battery stay's charged then this is not your problem.
Damn, must say, I was hoping this actually wasn't the problem. I've stripped it down to the carbs once but got freaked when I couldn't wiggle the darn things off. Silly but the old twins are so much less complicated- I can get my old kz305's carbs off, clean 'em and be back on the road in 10 mins flat! Any off-hand opinion as to this happening on rich or lean? Cheers.
