Springs and Shocks
Wassup ya'll, I'm only a second year rider and I needed some advice on my shocks and springs I think. lol. I'm about 220lbs and ride a CBR600F4i and I'm not sure if I need new shocks or springs or some tightening or something cause it lowers a lil when I'm on and a lot if I have a passenger. Is there a way to tighten the suspension or something. Please let me know what I should do.

RE: Springs and Shocks
hey hows it going,
don't take this the wrong way but check your manual for passenger wt. limit
when i had my 600f2 i belive the limit was like 300lbs for rider and passenger.
don't quote me on that but i know it was not much. you may be loading up
the suspension a bit too much. have you tried to adjust the pre-load or your
suspension? you can make it ride stiffer or softer depending which way you turn the adjustment...

RE: Springs and Shocks
Stock springs are NOT setup for the proper sag even at the LIMIT the manual says.
Im 255 (no gear) mine suspension setup up perfect with a race tech .95kg front springs set and a 15kg rear spring..Stock shocks will do fine with nothing more than a good fluid change..
Bike is night and day different than with the stock setup..No brake dive (like stock and handles a lot better).
My setup cost me (i did the labor).UNder 150.00 for the parts and 35.00 for a shop to setup the sag and shock settings.
