Does anyone know if a 1988 cbr1000 shock will work on a 1994 cbr1000?

Default RE: Shocks

Well it will, but it lowers the rear of the bike about 1 1/2 in. Anyhow, if anyone needs a 88 cbr1000 shock I have a good one that needs a new home. Reminder to you shorter riders, it will bolt on to any year model cbr1000f, but after 1989 it will lower your bike 1 1/2 in. So if anyone needs to shorten their ride hieght, this would be a cheap way to do it. Rember if you lower the back end you need to lower the front as well or you will change the rake and trail.

Shock was off of an 88 salvaged cbr1000 with less than 6000 miles.

$75 or best offer you pay shipping.

Bump..... The shock is in great shape, and I'm going to put it on ebay soon, so if anyone needs a stock shock for a 87-88 cbr1000 let me know.
