does anyone know if the speedo runs off the front gear on a cbr1000rr? just wondering bc i want to change the front gear but dont want to mess with the speedo.

 

I can't tell you for sure, but, I would assume ANY change in sprockets to non OEM spec, would make your speedometer inaccurate to some degree.

 

I would agree that any non OEM part is going to vary performance some how. I do believe that the speedo is run off the front wheel.

 

the speedo is run off your front sprocket. all ya need is a speedohealer to correct any differences you incur by going down teeth in the front or going up in the rear.

the speedohealer is a pretty inexpensive mod and will save ya lots of miles on your odometer. hit me up if your interested. i have them in stock.
