Supposed to change them every 16k miles. A few symptoms of bad plugs may include hard starting, running rough, lack of power and hesitation/stumbling on accel, poor fuel economy, and the exhaust smells strongly of fuel. Unlikely though that you'll have any of these symptoms if changed at the recommended intervals unless you have other problems causing the plugs to foul.

If you get them symptoms then you have waited to long. Running your plugs to the very end is soo sooooo hard on your coils and such. Running old plugs for such a long time can pull the life from the coils.

+1; vastly better to change plugs (or other 'consumables' for that matter) sooner, rather than later. The price of plugs are cheap compared the coils, reg/rec, other components.

Cheers
