Default Race Specs

I am Riding a CBR 1000rr on the streets, been on two wheels for years now. Finally have the funds to start racing, got the competition license and an '05 CBR 600rr race bike. What parts, adjustments, etc.... do I need/want to have? Anything from tires (i'm running Pirelli Super Corsas) to fork adjustments, rear suspension adjustments, chain/sprokets (i've got 15/42 w/ 520 chain) and engine parts and exhaust. I found the best way to learn is to ask more experienced riders/racers. thanks for the help.

Default RE: Race Specs

yo mang...you may want to check the racer sites...
i would get the suspension dialed in just for your weight, assuming it's not the stocker on there....as far as chain, DID 520 fo sho but sprockets, will range from track to track...some have long straights and very slow turns, etc...or long sweepers, etc. so will require different gearing.

tires are good...as far as exhaust, do a f/s...dyno tuned...and if you gots moneys...engine internals, cams, heads, etc...

this is assuming that you gots the bling...

Your best friend is going to be a 1/8 drill bit, and saftey wire plyers. I forget which bolts you need but Caliper, axels, and oil drain are a mandatory. Everything else is how serious you are and how much you got to spend? I'd start w/ sliders. If the Corsas are brand or new enough get a session or two out of those then I would roll w/ the Michelin Pilot Race. Find out your body weight to suspension ratio to adjust ( I asked the same question) and gearing -1 front/ +2 rear. Everthing else is really how serious are you? Maybe tire warmers, stands, extra set of wheels w/ tires, race body work, ohlins dampner. As far as engine and exhaust who needs horse power when you can ride! LOL
Good liuck homey be safe
