I seriously doubt your oil has anything to do with it not starting. Did you put car oil in it by any chance? Was the oil "Energy saving" type oil? If it was then your clutch will probably start slipping.

your spark plugs are in the top of the motor. you have to take off the coil from the plug and put a spark plug socket down the hole and take it out. you might want to look into finding a shop manual which will go in depth about how to do the things you want to do step by step.

Replace the sparkplugs and make sure the battery is fully charged. If it still is backfiring then let it run. Its probably just crap in the motor thats being burned.

hello again.....
i've finally found all the tools i need to channge the spark plugs. in fact, im just wrappin' up now tightening the last plug. i've changed the oil. i'm gonna release some because i think i put too much. i bought new fuses just in case. will change those before cranking. and bout' to put air filter back together again first. i intially"drawn out"myself a diagram of where my fuses go back just in case i couldnt remeber. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME.all went successful thanks to the CBR Forum......

Ihaven't got it started yet, but at least i'm able to "weed out" scenarios thats causing problems without going over $100 bucks so far.... Thanks everyone...
