My husband and I just bought an 04 CBR 1000 and a 06 CBR 600rr and we are having the same problem. The garage smelled really bad of gas and we noticed a small amount dripping from the hose. It is strange that both bikes are doing it. We had filled up about 20 miles prior but it wasnt all the way to the top when I stopped. Also noticed it after coming home with only 1/4 of a tank left. We also noticed some of the thicker stuff on the ground.

sounds like one of the carbs is getting flooded due to a stuck float. same thing is happening to me right now, i am going to take off the carbs and clean them to see if thats the problem.

basically, it's the same thing as the world "man" but some people with dark hair and yellow skin pronounce it "MANG". now go and share with the rest of UK and Europe mang!

*****! (not to threadjack) I use the word "mang" all the time, but have never heard the "dark hair, etc" explanation. I just thought it was an urban slur

It may also be the o-rings on the fuel line couplers to the carbs / FI.
