Default Slapping chain

Hi all,
I have a problem with my 1990 cbr 1000f. When I go to take off the chian starts making a slapping sound then it stops untill I slow down then get back on the power. The chain is not to old or down to the replace mark. there seems to be a rubber wear bar on top of the swing arm could it be this or the cog is worn?. The back cog looks in good order, but I dont know about the front one.
Any advise would be great.
Regards, Steve.

not sure, may be your chain is a little loose. try tightning it a little. you should have about one inch of play.

The chain is hitting something or is very loose. That front sprocket, hidden under the slave cylinder, could have very hooked teeth.

Check the tension on the chain, but if that's good, chances are something is wrong with one of the sprockets. I had a bike that would start to click or make a slap noise when starting to slow down and starting to speed up. 15-0 Mph and 0-15 Mph. I found a loose bolt on the back sprocket. Tightened it and the problem went away. Didn't run out of alignment long enough to damage the sprocket.

Check the Chain adjustment like everyone is saying and if that doesn`t improve things take of your rear wheel and check the cush drive rubbers are not worn behind your Sprocket. they lift out and should be a reasonably snug fit.
