Hey, everyone has their own tastes. I gave up a long time ago trying to understand hers. Hell, she married me... something is obviously wrong with her taste.

well i'm about 5'6 and i'm on my tippy toes (anyways, you use one foot when you stop.. only time you use both feet is to reverse haha)

but my suggestion is to get her pocket rocket (if they didnt mention it yet muhahaha)

You should check out getting a corbin seat for the bike. Boots are ok, but depending how big they are might cause issue shifting or getting to the brake lever. Try to stay away from lowering the bike itself.

If you can lower the rear you can always drop the forks and inch in the triple tree for the time being to match the lowered rear until she gets used to the bike.
The 250 forks won't allow the front to be adjusted like that.

I was also going to look at a Buell Blast. It might not have the build quality of some of the others but it has a seat height that is about five inches lower than both the 650 and the 250.
I'd test ride a blast first. I tried one out because the Harley shops in my area always have test ride months in spring. They suck in my opinion and I wouldn't want my wife or anyone new on one. Very awkward riding position and the throttle is very jerky. Plus the constant feeling that the bike is going to die while at idle made me uncomfortable.
