Shifting into 2nd in a wheelie?
First off its a 02 F4I.Well i think i am almost comfortable enough to shift into second while wheeling. I can ride through first with a even amount of throttle all the way to redline. I know you have to shift without the clutch but i tried to do it once and it just slammed down. I wanted to ask before i go out and try it again and gas it way to much once i get it in second. Can someone explain to me in detail how to do it?
I haven't done it yet, but I would say to try to clutch it up in 2nd rather than try to bring it up in 1st then shift. I'm not sure but that may be easier, and then when you get good at that you could clutch up 2nd and shift into 3rd for some long a$$ highway wheelies. That might be easier, but I'm sure someone with a little more knowledge will post.

For some reason my bike wont come up in second without jumping on it and to me im uncomfortable with doing it with no steering stabalizer. I know its going to be hard to do but i have heard about alot of people doing wheelies like this. I have a slip on, k&n, and geared -1 and +2 also
With -1 +2 I have heard that you can power it up in 2nd. If you don't feel comfortable I would say not to do it, but if you want to shift into 2nd, just keep trying and you will get it. Sorry I can't be more help to you.

Well maybe im not chopping the throttle hard enough. If i could power it up i would be comfortable with it. I just dont like pushing down on the front then pulling it back up. Maybe ill try sitting back on the seat more or something
