So, after 100 miles after restoring my blade, the fuel tap decided to seize in the off position.
I have found one that is quoted as for the 1995 sc28
893cc which is my model, and has been confirmed by the seller. Only thing is, the outlet is in the wrong position. The one currently fitted to the bike has the output coming from behind (see pic) and the replacement has it coming out the side (see pic 2)
Any advice to if the pic2 is compatible greatly received.
For me, as long as the fitting to the tank doesn't leak and attaching the fuel line doesn't create a kink in the hose (if it does, just put a longer one on it), then I don't think it really matters.
If I check the OEM partslist it looks like it should have the outlet to the side, not to the back. I'd make sure you have proper clearing, and then buy it. Make sure you get a OEM Honda or Tourmax one though.
Apparently the one out the side is a vacuum and the one out the back isn't. I have been told that the 1995 was a cross over year and can have either, mine has the non vacuum hence it comes out the back.

It would only be a "vacuum" style of petcock if it has 2 fittings on it. One for fuel and the other for the vacuum line. We can't tell from the photo provided if there is another fitting for the vacuum hose to attach to. All multi-cylinder motorcycles have vacuum ports for the sync hoses to be attached to. It would be easy enough to attach a hose to cylinder #1 if the unit turned out to be the vacuum style.
