Check the coils.........maybe they heat soak and wont fire right away when their warm. As for the clutch, no it shouldnt be slipping again. Did you soak the fibers in oil for a couple of hours before installing them? I havent personally done it that way, but have read that it is the way to do it. I've only had to change them once on my 600F and put them in dry and had no problem. Is the new clutch adjusted correctly for free play? Did you use new springs or the old ones? Did you use new steels? If not.......the old ones are probably worn.
the clutch was put in at a motorcycle shop andanother member suggested oil type so i will haft to contact them and see and i will haft to check the coils ty i will keep u posted when i get a chance

THINK I REPEAT THINK i fixed the starting problem was looking over the the bike and found the owner before me too the battery positive wire and spliced it i think and it got really really hot i think to much resistance when the motor is hot sisce the wire is right in the hot zone and i just so happens i have a 97 900rr just laying around so too the B+ and starter wire off it and replaced it on my bike test drove it and so far so good
