okay i asked questions in the RR section but just getting ignored

i bought a 2007 shock for my cbr600 1997 as they are the same length but can be rebuilt so i thought for £40 was cheaper than a nitron or ohlins

i fitted the shock last night and there is a hissing noise when the shock is compressed and de-compressed

its what you imagine it would sound like when drawing in air

my cb600 cbr600 oem shock and gsxr 750 shock doesnt make this sound.

does it need a rebuild?

i dont think your shock should be doing that, have a word with these people

i had my shock rebuilt with them and they done a fine job.

 

just turned the everything up to the max and its still soft the guy who sold it said the shock only did 100 miles from new yet its obviously got no NO2 or oil in it.
