Default Ridiculous Thermostat Replacement Price ?

I called my local Honda shop, asking for a price quote on replacing the thermostat on my 2000 cbr f4, and was baffled by what they told me. They told me that to replace the thermostat without the coolant, because I just replaced that, would run me about $200. I don't want to pay that. Can someone direct me in the right direction as to where I can find how to do it myself ? I am a car person, so not much for bikes.

get a workshop manual, it's all in there. you can just download one if you want.

$200 isnt that much. its a couple of hours and the part.
you can save the labor if you do it yourself. it's not hard to do....
