Default Reset Button Doesnt work on 03 600rr

My reset button does not work on my 03 600rr. I bought it this way, so I don't know what caused it. I have tried it with the key off, on, bike running and not running. Nothing works. This is a pain because I can't reset the clock, or the trips. Anyone had this problem? Any suggestions?

More than likely the little plastic pegs have come unattached from the rubber buttons. Do a search on here, someone posted there way of fixing them a while back. I just do the mental math to figure out the time lol.

When my roomate had his 600RR, one of the buttons actually pushed out and fell down into the cluster somewhere. Unfortunately the bike was stolen before we had a chance to take it apart and fix it, but if you take the cluster off and take it apart you should be able to see what's wrong. Most likely the rubber button

The easiest way to fix it.....Take the buttons out of the cluster. They just pull right out. Then get a drinking straw and push over the rubber nipple. Do this for both buttons. Then cut the straws leaving about an inch or so on the buttons. It will take a few test fits to get the straws cut to the correct length. The straw should fit tight on the buttons. This is alot easier than taking the cluster apart.
