Default Replacing the headgasket

I just tore apart my motor replacing the transmission in a bit but before i tear apart my second motor (mind you both have fine headgaskets) should i replace the head gasket with a new one, or can i safely reuse my old one

never re-use a head gasket. they seal by compressing them between the head and block. they are one time use gaskets.

sounds good just ordered another one for 80 bucks... Also any tips for pulling the clutch basket while the motor is off the bike

Too much wrenching involved if it fails, replace the head-gasket don't re-use.
They crush when you torque it all down. Only works properly once. Save the tears.

As far as clutch basket, they make a tool that holds the basket still, or try an air-impact.

made a ghetto fab tool, and got the nut off. found out my old motor didn't have a bent rod but instead it had a spun bearing
