Default WTB: Headgasket

The top end parts that I bought from ebay ($30)came in last night and they look good enough that I can use them, with the original parts, to get the engine back together. However I will need to get a headgasket for it and was wondering if anyone here had one that they don't need and are willing to sell. My local dealer has it on back order ($70 for HG& $20 for the base)and they will not be available till at least end of January.

I'll have to check the boxes to see if the base gasket is still good or not but if someone has that too, I might be interested buying it too.

All help is appreciated.

I'll take a pic of what I have ( I had two bikes, one a GSX, so not sure which gasket is which)
and get back to you. I used part of the set to do the camchain..............

Go to www.cometic.com ...they list the CBR1000 gaskets, and they make them to order. I've built (well, paid someone else to build) several race motors using these gaskets and always have had great results.

http://www.cometic.com/ <this one does but doesn't these gaskets require a special finishing (smoother than normal)to the mating surfaces?

Edit: No listing for the '87-'90 1000F, only '90-up

The HG is on back order at Honda Canada and won’t be available at least till Jan 29. I was planning to work on the bike over the Christmas holiday (our office is closes between Christmas and New Year) but I needs a head gasket to do that. The base gasket is in good condition and I can re use it but I want to use a new HG fro the top end. The price is not too bad $70.78 CDN and I would get one if there was one available. Since they aren’t, is there another aftermarket manufacturer that carries a HG for the Hurricane?
