Default Removing wheels for powder coat

So maybe I should be asking the TRG guy but I thought I would post here first and ask for any pictures too. I ride an '06 F4i in blue and I want to get my rims coated blue. I went to a local shop and there is a guy who works there that does it on the side and he said hell give me a deal since business is slow and ONLY charge me $250 a wheel! WOW what a steal! So I had him do two sets for me since I couldn't pass up that offer. No, actually I started laughing and I said no really how much? He appologized and said he wished he could do it for less so I really busted out laughing and said thanks anyway.

Ok so that dumb story is over time for my question. The guy that was going to coat my rims told me I have to get new bearings. Do I have to get new bearings if I powder coat my rims on my bike? If so how hard are they to replace. I can barely sharpen a pencil. Ok well I put my hotbodies flushmounts on my bike with out too much trouble so as long as it's not much more difficult than that. Anything else I need to know that I will have to do?

Has anyone had this done yet on an '06 in blue by TRG? If so I would like to see some pictures to see how well everything matches up. The color that looks the closest is the candy blue but it looks too light for my bike. =/

you gots to press them back in after you remove them...i have 2 sets of rims so i haven't done that yet...i'm sure they are a pita to remove too.
but since they out, i'd just replace them cause i would beat them up hard removing them...but that's just me.

Powder coat them on the bike? Can'nt be done! Powder coating needs to bake thats why you replace bearing . Unless you can remove and reinstall. This I dont recommend since they are out replace with new you cann't see damage caused by removal.

Your life could depend on it. IE.micro damage bearing wheel locks up you skid ! Get the picture not pretty.

LOL Ok my question was not can I get my rims powder coated while they are still on my bike...... I wanted to know if I had to replace the bearings. Heck I don't even know how to get bearings in or out I know what they are, they're the things in the middle of the rim that the wheel spins with. I don't know why I would have to replace them. When you take them out it sounds like they get all banged up?
