Default need info on trailer hitches

hey guys i am going to be buying a hitch for my suburban. i want to get the carrier that is attatched to the hitch to carry my bike. i was wondering what size hitch i should get. they talk about tongue weight and carrying weight does anyone know what they mean?

class 3 reese hitch you can buy one from summit or jegs and get a local shop to weld it in.

Most everything will work with a 2" hitch. I like hidden hitch.

Goto a shop that deals with hitches they will hook you up. I had one put on my Dakota, cant remember what size it was but works great for what I have towed. the guy that put my hitch on talked about tongue weight and carrying weight but I wasnt really paying attention I told him what I towed and he told me my best choices.
