hey all i got a question i was in a shop today to get some prices to powder coat my rims and since were i live not allot of pple do that they all do chrome i got price $125 a wheel is that good price or not reall i have never had any expirence with powder coating stuff so what you all think about it??????????

I got my entire bike powder coated for under 500 bucks so that's a pretty bad deal.

$125 a wheel?? Thats a real bad deal, there is a place thats about an hour away from me that does powdercoating super cheap, I haven't got anything done there, but someone I know took a set of full length headers and a bunch of brackets for his motor and got everything done for $25 or something like that. And the headers weren't some small ones, like the size of 2 of our bikes headers or a little bigger. I'd shop around before I'd pay $125 a wheel.

yea thats what i though too. But i just finnaly found this other guyi walked in there told them what i want he said $40a wheel so that under $100 for two heck of a deal compare to other one. somethins i hate it here because stuff like that there is no competiotion and no choices. but i think i'll go with that guy

wow i always thought powder coating was really expensive... time for me to get some stuff powder coated! and does the $125 include the prep too? i am going to start lookin around for a shop near me too.. im in Glendale AZ, do you guys know of anything near that?

 

just ask your local bike shop they should know someone. and dont pay more then around 40 per wheel as long as your handing the rim to them, the'll charge you more if they take it off.

 

here is how i found it i went to local bike shop and they gave me that expensive guy $125 cause its the only one they knew so i went home and opened local yellow pages and found it in there under powder coat. now these guys they dont do allot of bike parts as that other guy does so i guess thats why he is expenc. But all i got to do is bring them bare rim and then come back in about 2-3 days so they said its gonna run me about $125 for the two wheels and the special order paint that i want
