Default Removing seat lock cable

Hey all, this is my first post on this forum. Ive got a 2002 954, and i was installing my integrated tail light turn signals, and was about to take off the rear seat cowl, but the one thing stopping me is the seat lock cable. And i can't figure out how to disconnect it!!! I have the shop manual and everything, but it doesnt help. All it says is to disconnect the seat lock cable, and remove the cowl... but it doesnt show me how to disconnect it. Am i missing something easy??? Or what? Any help is appreciated. Thanks-

Default RE: Removing seat lock cable

It's basically a ball and socket joint. There is a groove that you have to pull it out from get a little bit of slack and pull the cable down towards the groove and it should unhinge itself. If you take the screw off the seat lock make sure you loc tite it. Mine feel off the bike and I had to order a new one.
