Need assistance from '01-'03 owners. I'm putting the final touches on restoring my stolen/recovered 01 F4i (sometimes they come back). Among a host of things done to the bike, the criminals busted my rear lock and my seat no longer "latches" on. I purchased a new lock set from Honda Parts House, but need a pic of a functional '01-'03 F4i lock to see what I'm missing. The repair/service manual isn't helping me out.

Would someone please post a pic of their inside storage area, with a close up of the back side of the lock (where you put your key to turn and release the rear seat to access the storage area). It would be great if you could provide a pic of the area with the key turned, and in a non turned position.

Dang criminals got me on this one.

just curiose whats the wire coil for

 

I used it as a safety wire for a GoPro camera, in case the suction cup mount failed and fell off.
