I'm not sure specifically what you're talking about, but maybe you could post pics. As far as I know, a lock washer is a washer with a curve and a gap. As you tighten a regular nut onto a lock washer, it compresses the curve and closes the gap to lock it into place. a lock nut has a nylon base that won't allow the nut to back off the bolt once it is tightened. I'm not sure how you have a lock washer inside a lock nut.
