Default Random engine death

hi, new guy to forum so apologies if i couldnt find the answer to my question and if im posting in the wrong thread.

The driver: rides it for about 3-4 days every 4-6 weeks due to me being on the road. Main mode of transportation.

The bike:
2010 cbr600rr leyla edition 30k on the odometer, kept outside with a bike cover while not in use.

when i got the bike the previous owner did some 'mods' rewired the headlights to manual switches, letting the wires hang, bypassed the killswitch, installed underglow but theres no switch to actually use them so im assuming the wires r also loose and exposed.

Now for my problem, the bike starts fine, but once u put it in 1st gear it dies randomly when it reaches the clutches catching point, when i ride the bike and im cruising at speed limits the bike shuts off, the rpm gauge drops to zero, i pull in the clutch or release the throttle and that sometimes lets it kick back on, it rises back to the previous rpm but dies once throttle is turned or clutch released, it doesnt do a full sweep on the rpm gauge like it lost power, other times i need to pull in the clutch and push the starter button to get it back on but it dies immediately if clutch is released, it operates fine in neutral or with the clutch pulled in, i havent done any mods to it and im currently researching how to undo what the previous owner did to the bike

Im unsure as to what it could be seeing as how the fuel tank has an issue where it builds up back pressure and on 2 seperate occasions its shot gas out of the tank like a literal geyser, hasnt happened in awhile thankfully, or sometimes the fuel pump doesnt prime when key goes to on position, on cold start theres an audible ticking sound coming from the engine but it quiets down some once the engine is warm.

Any help would b greatly appreciated

Could be a faulty kick stand switch.

If you've done that, then the switch has been bypassed. That connection may be breaking down.
