Default Question of the Week

Hey there Guys/Gals,

OK, So I just purchased some Carbon Fiber Bar Ends for my 93 CBR 600 F2 and found when I took the grips off that there was a threaded insert on the right side but not on the left!?!?!? Is it possible to buy a threaded insert for the end of the handlebars????? I notice that there is two small holes (top and bottom) on the handlebar end.....so it seems as though you should be able to use two set screws to mount a threaded insert into the handlebar. OR do I just knock out the insert on the right side and buy another set of expansion bolt type bar ends????????

Any and all help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I think you are going to need a new clip-on. I don't know that bike to well but if its what I think it is that's what you need and when you replace to stock bar ends you are going to notice an increased vibration in the handle bar because of the lighter bar ends.

There was no factory bar ends. Like I said, there was two small holes in the top and bottom of the handlebar as if you COULD??? possible use two little set screws to secure the threaded insert into the handlebar?!?!?!

If new clip-ons iis the way I need to go, does anyone have any links to decent manufactureres or any reputable place to pick up a set of these>

Thanks alot
