i do not have full exhaust only erion slip on and removed the valves in the mid pipe my pipe is shortened though 4 " but the only differance that would make is sound

Do you have a full pipe or just a slip on?? I have a 05 1000rr with just a slip on and everyone tells me it does no good unless you have a full system.

I just have a scorpion titanium GP bolt on/slip on. I read the same that it doesn't make a difference with a slip on but I find that it does.....I also installed the fuel pump accelerator by power commander that allows you to add to your fuel mixture at a certain throttle percent (I have mine at 75% I think with 20 fuel 15 RPM or the other way around) I found the power commander with the fuel pump accelerator made a huge difference than with out it

As far as real power, it won't do much for you if you just have a slip-on. It will smooth out the throttle response...maybe a little more oomph
