not to be mean but do you have the right pc3 for your bike and was it new or used andif so did you by some odd chance short circuit some of the wiring?

Yeah there's power. When I turned the key, the lights and the ECU came on. But the fuel injection didn't kick in. The PCIII didn't even blink and my bike would crank when I pushed the ignition switch.

Correction: wouldn't crank.

And yes it was used, from a guy that had an 04'. And it worked just fine on his bike. I don't know howI could possibly burn any of the wiring because it hooks up the same way in both bikes. I don't have the adapter to hook it up without the bike's battery.

The guy I got it from gave it to me with a CF Yoshi slip-on, bothfor $270 total, so I don't feel played or anything like that. I just had my hopes up. But I can't complain. I just wish there was a way to officially see if the PCIII still works, or see if it just doesn't belong on my bike.

Take the USB cable it came with, connect it to your PC, then go to this site and download the software http://www.powercommander.com/powerc...downloads.aspxafter you downloaded the software, click on open or go to your desktop (their should be a Power Commander icon), click on that, open it...then there should be a screen with stuff like Throttle/RPM on the right, links and RPM #'s on the left, etc...if it's hooked up correctly, there shold be dashes or 0's in the Throttle/RPM boxes, I can't remember which one (dashes or 0's)...on the left, click Get Map...a whole bunch of #'s should fill up the grid...if so, then the PCIII is working correctly, if not, then there's a problem with it.

What bike did the guy you got it off have? PCs are made for specific bikes.

I believe that may be the issue. I'm not exactly sure, but I know his bike is older than mine (maybe an 04' F4I or older) and I know that he got the PC3 before my bike was made. I just figured that it would still work being that we both had F4I's.
