Opening fuel tank without key?
Hello everyone
I've got a 2001 CBR600F as a trackbike. Due to a couple of rather large crashes (both involved barrel-rolls) I've had to get a replacement second-hand fuel tank off ebay. Unfortunately it didn't come with the key to open the filler cap.
Any ideas on how to remove the filler cap from the replacement tank so as to swap it for the original one? The bolts around the cap all come out fine but obviously the cap remains in place without the key to open it!
Any help gratefully received
Cheers

upside down pull out the petcock use an 18 " piece of flat electrical "fish wire" ....get it between the catch/latch and twist.... may take ya a good few attempts.
Other than that a more destructive quicker way
....... A DeWalt and a fat bit .......again upside down
